Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department ensuring accurate financial reporting by managing staff, developing and implementing accounting policies, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while supporting the CFO and business operations with analytics, budgeting and forecasting.
Compensation range is $100K-$120K.
On-site, 5 days/week – Woodbridge, NJ.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the accounting staff who are responsible for bill payment, customer billing, and collections.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare financial reports, including actual vs budgets by various regions.
Ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Review accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit and income tax preparation.
Assist CFO with budget and forecast preparation while working with Regionals GMs
Manage cash flow forecast.
Work with Staff Accountant on balance sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements, including sales tax.
Manage ERP and lead integration with other systems including Ramp, CRM and inventory
Work closely with the Operations team to ensure proper tracking and valuation of inventory
Proactively improve efficiencies and workflows for accounting and operations processes
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Experience with accounting systems, including QBO and Netsuite
Advanced Excel and strong analytics skills
Proven experience in being proactive in improving efficiencies and automation
Strong supervisory experience
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
3-5 years of related experience required.
Experience with manufacturing and inventory preferred
Public accounting background is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods working on a computer.
